Whilst at University, I have undertaken other opportunities that have come my way, to try and gain understanding and experience within the field of journalism. One of these that I attended recently was an event held by news associates, who are based in Manchester and in London. This was to help up and coming journalists and people who have not yet entered the field, gain a feel and learned some basics about the rules in journalism. I learned a lot in a shot space of time, and had my work critiqued by members of their association and other attendees, of which I found extremely useful.
It was good experience, and I have other events that I will soon also be attending.
