A little about Me

My Interests are Sport, I play football in a 5 a side team, and I am a mad fan of Hull City. I enjoy writing too, and I am at present in progress of writing two very different books, one is a comedy book, and one a thriller. I go to the gym everyday, therefore my diet and lifestyle are revolved around this, as I am going to compete in amature natural bodybuilding in the near future.
I also enjoy art, I like to draw landscapes and paint whenever possible.

My aim from doing the Digital Media Journalism course is to become a journalist, and my particular interests are sport, and tourism. I would like to move abroad to Canada, and partake this career there, but before this, I want to travel around the world, writing about my experiences and the cultures of different people, and also reflect on this and hopefully gain some inspiration for travel journalism.

I use to be a Teacher, I worked in a primary school volunteering for about 6 months, and at the time I was doing a degree to become a teacher. I also worked in a secondary school with sixth form students, and I was a learning mentor for them.
I have also done a degree before this in sports rehabilitation. This however did not work out, as I had other interests and it turned out this was not one of them at this time. Although I quit the degree, I went back to college, as part of the degree I had to do massage and I liked this, so I went to college and now I am a qualified masseur.
Other qualifications I have are a lifeguard, a fitness instructor and a Gymnastics coach. I also have a diploma in sport science.
I use to do Karate for 12 years, and I achieved black belt at the age of 16, and I am also a qualified assistant instructor.
I had acheived all of this, as well as woking in several other areas such as fitness, nursing homes, bar work, and labour work, by the age of 19.

My dream job would be to work for myself, as a journalist freelancing, and also a comedy script writer, whilst also writing my own books. My ideal areas would be sport, particularly football, but I would also like to gain knowledge in other sports, in different countries, which hopefully traveling around the world may give me. I would also like to do write ups and review work for travel companies, based on the places that I have been to when traveling, giving recommendations on places less known to holidaymakers.
