  1. In preparation for my site, I have looked at different colour schemes that I would like to represent my site. I want to choose bright but complimentary colours so that the text is legible to all, such as visually impaired. I also want the site to promote discussion, as I will have a forum section for users to input their opinions, so the first colours that naturally do this are blues and greens. Found a website, colourschemedesigner.com, which lets you compare and test different colour schemes for the web. This first example is the colours selected, on a light page background. It selects the uses of the colour in line with the text to contrast the colours for clarity.

This is a dark page example using a similar colour tone, as the text is reversed so that it is white and it sits nice on the eye, until a link appears. The links are underlined and highlight, but this is to similar colour to the background colour, and this could confuse users. This is a compliment two tone colour template. I may decide to use this colour with a light page, but a triad colour scheme which will give three colours that should complement each other.
